Make sense of your next casino deposit
Reload bonuses are calculated from a qualifying deposit, while offer conditions determine how and when the bonus funds can be used.
How a Reload Bonus Is Built Around Your Deposit
A reload bonus is designed for someone who already has a casino account and makes another deposit after signing up. The word “reload” describes that sequence: you have joined, and the promotion is linked to a later deposit rather than to opening the account. It is not a separate cash payment with no connection to what you put in. The deposit is the input used to calculate the bonus funds.
In the common matched-deposit structure, the casino adds bonus funds in relation to the amount you deposit. The offer sets a matching rate and a maximum bonus amount. Your qualifying deposit is therefore not necessarily the amount you receive as bonus funds: the result depends on both the rate and the cap.
You can think of the calculation as having two stages. First, the stated rate is applied to the deposit amount. Then the result is limited by the maximum bonus available under that offer. If the calculated bonus is below the maximum, the rate determines the award. If it is above the maximum, the cap determines it instead. The deposit continues to be your deposit; the matched amount is the additional bonus component.

This distinction matters because “matched” does not by itself tell you how much bonus funds a deposit will produce. A match may be smaller than the deposit, equal to it, or calculated in another stated proportion. The offer’s terms specify the rate. The maximum sets a ceiling on the resulting bonus, rather than changing the amount you deposited.
The deposit is the calculation base
For a single-deposit match, the casino uses one deposit as the base for the calculation. The offer may describe this as a percentage match, but the practical meaning is that the bonus is derived from the qualifying deposit according to the stated rate. You can estimate the bonus only after identifying that rate and the maximum. Looking at either detail on its own gives an incomplete picture.
Suppose the rate would produce a bonus below the maximum. In that case, increasing the deposit changes the calculated bonus in line with the rate, while the cap has no effect yet. Once the calculation reaches the maximum, a larger deposit does not increase the bonus beyond that ceiling. The two parts of the offer therefore do different jobs: the rate controls how the bonus grows, and the maximum limits how far it can grow.

Online casino bonus crab in the UK: offer guideLearn how to assess crab-related casino bonuses, compare reload and welcome offers, and understand the UK Gambling Commission’s role in regulation. This also explains why the advertised maximum is not automatically the amount every player receives. It is a limit, not a fixed award. A deposit that produces a lower calculation leads to a lower bonus. To understand the offer as it applies to you, compare the deposit you plan to make with the rate and maximum stated for that promotion.
The bonus is calculated from the deposit, not from your account balance as a whole. Money already in the account does not become part of the calculation merely because it is there. The relevant amount is the deposit identified by the offer as the basis for the match. That keeps the calculation tied to a specific transaction rather than to an unclear running total.
One deposit or a series of deposits
The standard pattern is a match calculated against one deposit. In that structure, each part of the calculation has a clear reference point: the qualifying deposit, the stated rate and the maximum bonus. The bonus is not calculated by adding earlier deposits to the current one unless the offer explicitly describes a broader calculation.
There are also descriptions of reload promotions that cover more than one deposit. A specialist review has described an offer applying across a player’s subsequent deposits, but that should be treated as a reported type of promotion, not as a general feature of reload bonuses. The usual matched-deposit structure remains centred on a single deposit; a multi-deposit arrangement needs to say so in its own terms.
Where an offer covers a series of deposits, the important question is how it defines the calculation for that series. It may describe the bonus as applying separately to each deposit, or specify a combined basis. Those are different structures. In the first, each qualifying deposit is evaluated on its own under the offer’s stated rate and cap. In the second, the offer would need to explain how the deposits are grouped and how the maximum applies across them. Do not assume one method from the other.
A series-based offer also differs from a single-deposit match in what you can infer from making one deposit. Under a single-deposit structure, that transaction is the calculation base. Under a multi-deposit structure, one transaction may be only part of the described sequence. The offer must make clear which deposits count; the label “reload bonus” alone does not establish that a later deposit will be included.
Reading the structure before deciding what it means
When you encounter a casino reload bonus, separate the basic calculation into its components. Identify whether the offer is tied to one deposit or describes several. Find the rate used to calculate bonus funds, then find the maximum that limits the result. This is enough to understand the shape of the match without confusing the bonus with the deposit itself.
A percentage rate describes a relationship, not a guaranteed cash amount. The same rate can produce different bonus amounts when the deposit changes, until the maximum is reached. After that point, the cap prevents the bonus from rising further. Conversely, the same maximum can be reached from different deposit amounts if the rates differ. The headline figure alone therefore cannot show how the calculation will work for a particular deposit.

Newest Online Casinos and No-Deposit Spin OffersSee how operator eligibility checks, account steps and offer terms affect no-deposit spins, and why a UKGC licence matters before claiming. It is also useful to distinguish the transaction from the award. You make a deposit; the promotion uses the qualifying amount to calculate a separate bonus award. A matched offer does not mean that the casino returns your deposit as bonus funds, nor does the word “match” establish that every deposit is matched in full. The exact relationship comes from the stated rate and any limit.
This structure is the same whether you see the wording “reload bonus” or “matched deposit bonus”: the central mechanism is a later deposit used as the basis for additional bonus funds. What changes from one promotion to another is the calculation the offer specifies, including whether it covers one deposit or more than one. Reading those parts separately lets you tell what the bonus is based on, how it scales with the deposit, and where its growth stops.
What a Reload Offer Can Include—and When It Appears
A reload offer is a promotion presented to an existing casino customer, rather than a welcome deal for someone opening an account. Its format can vary: a casino might add bonus funds in proportion to a deposit, include free spins, or present a combination of those benefits. These are possible offer types, not features you should expect to find every time you deposit.
A specialist review describes reload promotions that match a deposit with bonus funds and may also include casino free spins. That describes a possible structure, not a rule across operators. An offer may provide matched funds without spins, include spins alongside the match, or have another stated format. The promotion’s own description is what tells you which benefit is being offered.
Matched Funds
Bonus funds added in proportion to your deposit, often subject to a maximum cap.
Free Spins
Spins provided for use under the promotion's stated terms, distinct from cash funds.
Combined Offers
Promotions that grant both matched bonus funds and free spins as separate benefits.
The format shown on the offer
When bonus funds are included, the offer may express them as a percentage match: the amount of bonus funds depends on the deposit, subject to any stated cap. The percentage and cap are part of that particular promotion, not features that can be assumed from the phrase “reload bonus”. Two offers with similar names could therefore provide different amounts or apply to deposits in different ways.
Free spins are a separate possible component. They give you spins to use under the promotion’s stated terms; they are not the same thing as matched cash funds. If an offer includes both, treat them as distinct benefits and read the terms for each. The offer should make clear what it grants and how each part is used. A headline that mentions a bonus does not, by itself, establish that spins are included.
The wording can also affect what you think you are being offered. “Reload bonus” may refer to the promotion as a whole, while the details specify whether it consists of matched funds, spins, or both. Look for the description of the actual benefit, rather than inferring the format from the label. This matters when comparing casino reload offers: the same broad category can contain promotions that are not directly equivalent.
Why an offer may appear to one player but not another
Reload promotions are not necessarily displayed to every account at the same time. A specialist review describes offers that can appear intermittently and be directed to individual players, rather than being part of a regular public promotion schedule. This means that what you see in your account may not match what another player sees, and the absence of an offer at one point does not establish that the casino never makes reload promotions available.
Availability can also change over time. A promotion may be visible in an account area or in a communication sent to a particular customer, then no longer be presented later. The practical point is to treat a reload offer as a specific promotion available under its own stated conditions, not as a standing feature of every casino account. A past offer is not evidence that the same one will return.
This also limits what you can infer from public descriptions. A general page may explain that an operator has offered reload promotions, but that does not confirm that a particular promotion is currently available to you. If an offer is targeted, its appearance and terms may be specific to your account. The account display or the promotion’s own terms are more relevant than an old description of a similar deal.
Comparing offers without assuming a “best” one
There is no single format that is automatically best for every player. A percentage match and a free-spins offer provide different kinds of promotional value, and a combined offer needs to be understood as more than one component. The useful comparison is between the benefits actually offered and the terms attached to them, not between promotional labels or headline wording.
Start by identifying what the promotion grants. Is it bonus funds calculated from a deposit, free spins, or both? Then establish whether the offer is available to your account and whether its terms describe the same benefit you expected from the headline. If the details are not clear, do not treat an assumption about the format as part of the offer.
The phrase “best casino reload offers” can suggest that promotions can be ranked on a single scale. In practice, a ranking without the relevant offer details can obscure important differences. A larger-looking headline does not tell you which benefits are included or whether the promotion is available to you. Comparing like with like requires the full description of each offer, including its format and eligibility, rather than a general claim that one deal is best.
A public promotion is not a promise of repetition
A promotion displayed publicly may be easier to find than an account-specific one, but its visibility does not make it permanent. Likewise, receiving an individual offer does not establish a schedule for future offers. The details can vary between promotions, so do not use a previous offer as a template for a later one.
This is particularly relevant if you are looking for a casino reload offer because you have seen one mentioned elsewhere. The mention may describe a promotion that was available at another time or to another player. It does not confirm that you can claim the same deal now. Check the current offer shown to you and rely on its terms for the format and availability.
A clear way to read any reload promotion is to separate three questions: what benefit it contains, who can see or receive it, and whether it is available now. The first identifies whether the offer involves matched funds, spins, or both. The second distinguishes a broadly displayed promotion from one directed to individual players. The third prevents a description of a past or occasional offer from being mistaken for a current one.

A reload promotion can be a deposit match, may include free spins, and may be presented intermittently or to selected accounts. None of those possibilities, on its own, guarantees that a particular offer will appear for you or return on a predictable schedule.
How to Claim a Reload Deal With a Promo Code
A reload deal is not necessarily added to your account simply because you make another deposit. The promotion may have an activation step, an eligibility check, or both. Treat these as separate questions: first, whether you have correctly claimed the offer; second, whether your account meets the conditions for it to be applied.
Some sites may ask you to enter a promo code to claim a reload bonus, as noted in a specialist review. That does not mean every reload offer uses a code, or that entering one by itself guarantees the bonus. The code is one possible way to identify the promotion you intend to claim. The offer’s terms determine whether further conditions apply.
Find the terms before activating
Start with the promotion’s own terms, rather than relying on a code or a short description alone. Look for the stated claim method and the eligibility conditions. If a code is required, the terms should make that clear; if the offer can be claimed without one, entering a code may not be part of the process.
Do
- Review the promotion's own terms first
- Check the stated claim method
- Verify eligibility conditions
Don't
- Rely on a promo code alone
- Trust short descriptions exclusively
- Assume a code guarantees the bonus
Read the conditions as separate checks. A promotion may depend on a recent deposit, a deposit of a specified amount, or wagering a set amount of money. These conditions do not all describe the same action. A recent-deposit condition is about whether an earlier deposit falls within the offer’s eligibility window. A specified-deposit condition concerns the deposit associated with qualifying for the deal. A wagering condition concerns play or stakes that must have taken place.
The order in which those checks apply matters. For instance, a recent deposit may be a prerequisite for seeing or claiming an offer, while a separate wagering threshold may determine whether you qualify after that. Do not assume that completing one condition satisfies the others. Check the exact wording for what must happen, and when.
Entering a code is an activation step
If the promotion requires a casino reload bonus code, use the code exactly as shown in the offer details. A code can fail to activate the intended deal if it is mistyped, entered in the wrong place, or used outside the offer’s stated conditions. Those are practical possibilities to guard against, not proof that every site uses the same claim process.
Follow the instructions supplied with that specific promotion. The site may provide a field or another stated method for applying the code, but the location and sequence can differ. Do not assume that a code should be entered into a particular account screen or during a particular transaction unless the promotion says so. If no code is requested, do not invent one or apply a code found elsewhere and assume it belongs to the offer.

Check that it is the reload deal you intended to activate and that its conditions match the promotion you were offered. If the displayed offer differs, pause rather than proceeding on the assumption that the code will correct it later.
Check qualification independently
Even when a code is accepted, eligibility can still depend on account activity. A promotion may be limited to players who have made a recent deposit. “Recent” is defined by the offer’s own terms, so the phrase alone does not tell you whether your account qualifies. Look for the stated period and compare it with your deposit history.
A promotion may also require a deposit of a certain amount. That condition is distinct from entering the code: the code can identify the deal while the deposit condition determines whether it applies. Check which deposit the terms refer to and whether the condition must be met before, during, or after claiming. If the wording is unclear, ask the operator to explain it before you proceed.
Some offers can depend on having wagered a set amount of money. This is a qualification condition, not necessarily the same thing as a wagering requirement attached to bonus funds after the offer is awarded. The terms should indicate what wagering activity counts towards eligibility and what event completes the condition. Avoid treating a deposit, a code entry, and wagering as interchangeable steps.
Claiming a Deal
-
1
Verify Account Status
Check if your account meets prerequisites, such as having made a recent deposit within the eligibility window.
-
2
Activate the Offer
Use the required claim method, such as entering the casino reload bonus code exactly as shown.
-
3
Meet Qualification
Complete the final requirement, such as making a deposit of the specified minimum amount or meeting a wagering threshold.
A useful way to read a reload casino deal is to translate its terms into a short sequence: what must already be true of your account, what you must do to claim the offer, and what condition must be met for you to qualify. If any step is missing from the promotion’s instructions, do not fill the gap with assumptions based on another deal.
If the offer does not appear
A code not being accepted does not, by itself, show why the claim failed. The code may not apply to the promotion presented to you, or an eligibility condition may not be met. Check the code and offer wording first, then confirm whether the terms require a recent deposit, a specified deposit, or a wagering threshold.
If the terms still do not explain the result, contact the operator before making another deposit or trying a different code. State which promotion you are trying to claim and ask which condition is preventing activation. This keeps the question focused on the claim and your eligibility, rather than relying on a general reload bonus guide that may describe a different offer.
A code should therefore be treated as an activation tool, not as the offer itself. The promotion’s terms determine who can claim it and what must be done. Verify both the claim method and the qualification conditions before acting; that is the clearest way to tell whether a reload casino bonus code applies to the deal in front of you.

A reload offer may set a minimum qualifying deposit. That threshold determines whether a deposit can activate the promotion; it does not change who owns the money you deposit. Check the offer terms before paying in, because a deposit below the stated minimum may not qualify for the bonus.
The distinction matters when a casino account contains both your deposit and promotional funds. Your deposit balance is money you paid in. Bonus funds are promotional credit, and conditions may apply to their use or to winnings generated from them. These balances should be displayed separately rather than combined into one figure that obscures which rules apply to each.
A minimum deposit for a reload bonus should not be read as a minimum you must keep in your account to access your own money. You should be able to withdraw your deposit balance at any time, including while a bonus is active or pending. Promotional restrictions must not prevent access to that balance.
Bonus winnings can be treated differently. An operator may require you to meet wagering requirements before those winnings become withdrawable, provided you can still withdraw winnings made with your own funds regardless of how much you have played. This separates a condition attached to the promotion from access to money that does not come from the bonus.
When comparing a casino deposit reload bonus, look for the qualifying deposit threshold and check whether the terms distinguish deposit funds from bonus funds. Do not assume that a reload deposit bonus makes the entire account balance subject to promotional conditions. If the balance display or withdrawal rules do not make the distinction clear, ask the operator to explain how your deposit balance is identified and accessed before accepting the offer.
The same point applies if you are considering a crypto casino reload bonus: the payment method does not, by itself, tell you whether a deposit qualifies or what restrictions apply. The offer’s stated minimum and balance rules are what matter. Treat a displayed bonus balance as promotional credit, not as a reason to leave your own deposited funds inaccessible.
Wagering, Expiry and Game Restrictions
A reload bonus can increase the balance available for play, but the bonus terms determine when any winnings associated with it can be withdrawn. A wagering requirement sets the amount you must stake before bonus funds become withdrawable. Until you meet that requirement, winnings linked to the bonus may remain unavailable for withdrawal. The requirement is therefore not simply a condition for receiving the offer: it affects what you can do with bonus-related winnings after you start playing.
Check which funds the requirement applies to and how the casino counts eligible play. Games can contribute differently towards wagering, so a stake may count in full, count only in part, or not count at all under the offer terms. Some games, particularly table games, may contribute less. A stated requirement can therefore take longer to complete than the headline wording suggests if the games you choose count only partially.
The terms may also restrict your stake while bonus money is in use. If a maximum stake applies, exceeding it could affect whether your play qualifies under the promotion. Check the limit and the games allowed before you play; do not assume that every game or stake will count towards completing the requirement.

Once the stated period ends, the bonus may be removed from your account and will no longer be available to play. That can leave you with less time to meet the wagering requirement than you expected. Check when the expiry period begins and whether it applies to the bonus balance, rather than assuming that the funds remain available indefinitely.
For UK offers, the regulatory position on wagering limits also matters. The Gambling Commission’s rules set a maximum wagering requirement of ten times the bonus before bonus winnings can be withdrawn. Reporting has not been consistent about when the change takes effect: one account refers to December without naming a year, while the stated implementation date is 19 January 2026. iGamingBusiness.com has reported on the ten-times cap. Read the current offer terms alongside the applicable rules, rather than relying on an older promotion description.
These conditions work together. An eligible game may still be subject to a stake cap; a stake may count only partly; and the bonus may expire before the required wagering is complete. Before using the bonus, establish what play counts, what limits apply and when the funds cease to be available. Those details determine whether the bonus can be used on terms that suit your intended play.
Using Reload Bonus Funds on Slots
A slot-focused reload bonus is governed by the games named in its terms, not simply by the fact that it is a reload offer. Some promotions restrict bonus funds to particular games or categories. If slots are eligible, check whether the terms cover all slots or only a specified selection before you start playing. A game that appears in the casino’s lobby is not necessarily eligible for bonus play.
How game contribution works
Contribution rates determine how much of a stake counts towards the wagering requirement. While slots often contribute fully, other games, like table games, may contribute only partially or not at all.
This distinction affects wagering progress. Eligible games can count towards the wagering requirement, while excluded games may not count at all. Some games, particularly table games, may contribute less towards wagering than slots. The contribution rate determines how much of your stake is credited towards the required wagering; it does not change the amount you stake. Check the game contribution terms rather than assuming that every game advances the requirement equally.
The balance used for a spin also matters. Bonus funds are subject to the promotion’s restrictions, while your deposited funds remain separate. Do not treat the two balances as one pool with identical rules: promotional conditions govern use of the bonus, not access to your own deposit. Where the casino displays both balances, check which one is being used before continuing.
A casino slot reload bonus may also set limits on how you can play while bonus funds are active. For instance, the terms may restrict eligible games or place a maximum stake on play using the bonus. These conditions can affect whether wagering progress counts, so changing games or increasing a stake without checking the rules may produce a different result than expected. The specific terms for the offer determine what applies.
The maximum amount of a reload bonus is a separate feature from its game restrictions. A higher available bonus does not make more games eligible, and an eligible slot does not alter the amount awarded. Read the maximum bonus amount alongside the list of permitted games, contribution rules and any stake conditions. Each term answers a different question: what funds may be awarded, where you can use them, and how play counts towards wagering.
If the offer is limited to slots, keep play within the eligible slot category and use the promotion’s stated rules to judge progress. Do not assume that a table game will count in the same way as a slot, or that a game’s presence on the site makes it eligible. The terms are the operative guide to how bonus funds can be used.
When a Weekly Reload Bonus Is Not Guaranteed
A weekly reload bonus may sound like a promotion you can expect on the same day each week. That expectation is not safe to build into your plans. A specialist review reports that reload offers can appear intermittently and may be directed to individual players rather than issued on a regular schedule. Because availability can change, that report should not be treated as proof that a particular casino currently runs a weekly promotion.
The practical distinction is between a recurring offer and an offer that happens to appear during a particular week. Seeing a reload deal once does not establish that it will return, and another player receiving one does not establish that it will be available to you. If you are deciding whether to make a deposit, rely on an offer only when it is currently shown to you and its terms are accessible. Do not assume that a promotion will arrive later to support a deposit you have already made.
Regulation does not create a schedule. The UK Gambling Commission regulates commercial gambling in Great Britain, including remote gambling offered to consumers there, even when an operator’s key equipment is elsewhere. It issues operating licences to businesses and personal licences to individuals; that role does not mean it sets a weekly timetable for casino promotions.
Treat “weekly” as a description to verify, not a promise inferred from an old listing or a previous offer. Check the casino’s current promotions and any account-specific notices before acting. If no reload offer is displayed to you, there is no basis to assume one is due that week.
Do you need a promo code for reload bonuses?
Sometimes. Some casinos require a promo code to claim a reload bonus, so check the offer’s terms before depositing.
What types of incentives could be offered?
A reload offer may provide bonus funds matched to your deposit, sometimes with free spins. Free spins may also be offered without a deposit.
What are reload bonuses?
A reload bonus is a promotion for an existing casino player, linked to a later deposit. The casino typically awards bonus funds based on the deposit, subject to the offer’s terms.
How do reload bonuses work?
The offer applies its stated match rate to a qualifying deposit, up to any stated maximum. You may need to meet wagering requirements before bonus winnings can be withdrawn, and the offer may also set a minimum deposit, expiry, game restrictions or a maximum stake.
What are the new rules?
The changes are due to come into force on 19 January 2026. Online casino bonus wagering requirements will be capped at 10x; operators may still require wagering for bonus winnings, but you must be able to withdraw winnings made with your own funds regardless of how much you have played. The product-mixing ban does not apply where you have unrestricted choice of product category for using credits or bonus money.
